Not much to report today. It's pouring right now, and last night there was a big thunderstorm ~ the thunder shook the house! I was half asleep so I kind of thought I was dreaming LOL

Oh! Wednesday night I discovered I can see fireworks from the house ~ they had a big celebration uptown, I think it was an Acadian thing or maybe the Harbour passage being re-opened. They were so awesome! I couldn't really see the smaller ones b/c they were in behind the mountain/horizon, but it was neat seeing them come up over the water ~ it would be really cool to see them from a boat! I do plan on going uptown to watch the Canada Day ones though.

Keep your fingers crossed for me b/c if it's sunny tomorrow I'll be finally going on the S&H railroad:) I can't wait!

I am really learning a lot about myself....

You're Watership Down!

by Richard Adams

Though many think of you as a bit young, even childish, you're
actually incredibly deep and complex. You show people the need to rethink their
assumptions, and confront them on everything from how they think to where they
build their houses. You might be one of the greatest people of all time. You'd
be recognized as such if you weren't always talking about talking rabbits.

Take the Book Quiz
at the Blue Pyramid.

I loved this book when I was a kid too! Hmm... maybe I should read it again.

Look what I just found out:

You're Cambodia!

Life's been really rough, but it's slowly improving.  You know
way too much about the skeletal structure of humans, mostly from being forced to study
it.  This has given you a fear of many things, most especially the color red.
The future has to be more promising though, and your greatest adversary can now
never come back to hurt you any more.

Take
the Country Quiz at the Blue Pyramid

Yah! I never knew I was afraid of the colour red...wait a minute...this font is in red ~ aargh!!

It is now Tuesday, and to catch up on a couple things I have to start with one of the most frightening experiences of my life that happened Sunday night. It was close to midnight and I was in here on the computer just finishing up a few things when I heard someone come down the stairs and onto the deck outside. I grabbed the dog b/c if she started barking I wouldn't be able to hear what was going on. So a few seconds later the person came to the door in here (which we never use) and started rattling the doorknob ~ OMG!! I was completely petrified and my heart was racing. Then after a few seconds the person ran to the main door and REALLY started rattling the doorknob. I was so scared, I just stood there in horror really ~ I just KNEW the door wasn't shut properly and that it would open any second. I finally heard it unstick and my heart stopped ~ who or what was on the other side?!?! I thought I would faint, I didn't have time to hide or call the police or even grab a knife?! The door flew open and to my relief it was a girl who looked about my age and was well dressed, not the snarling PSYCHO guy I expected! LOL And she barely looked at me as I stood there with my mouth open completely stunned ~ she blurted out something like "John's here" and "Where's John?" I just sort of shook my head still in shock and not really knowing what she was talking about. It dawned on me that she was talking about the neighbour and we figured it all out ~ she sort of apologized and left. She had never been to his house before and thought he had come down to our house. Anyway, I was shaking like mad for hours after that ~ it wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't so late and if she would've knocked first! I don't know who she thought *I* was, but she didn't seem to think anything was unusual when she burst in ~ she almost looked as though she was about to take her coat of and settle in for the night!

On monday I went to see the oral surgeon to make sure I didn't have an infection and he said it looked fine. Then afterwards I had an appt at dr sherrard's where they tied in my last tooth to replace the one that was pulled in front of it ~ I hope it works okay! I have to wear an elastic that is supposed to pull it forward a lot faster.

bye for now
