I have not updated this space for a while. Hah, it could be that there is nothing newsworthy or it could be the lack of time. Yet one thing for sure, 2008 is unfolding to be an eventful year, with changes in my career, ministry, place of residence and etc.
For the benefit of friends, I shall provide a short update on the various things:
Career: Not to worry, I am not intending to put in the white letter. I can't, it's too expensive to do so. I was troubled for a while, wondering why the boss could not be more supportive or enthusiastic regarding certain career development options. I could have turned into a bitter and angry soul but there is no point in doing so. Once again, I looked to the one who loves me, and who knows the plans He has for me. [Isaiah 29:13]. While the way ahead is not crystal clear, I am hopeful.
Residence: Do not harbour too-imaginative thoughts on why I am changing my residential address. The family's apartment was en-blocc so we gotta move out in July 2008. The search for a new place was not a smooth ride, having encountered agent/ houseowners who backed out of an agreement even. Nevertheless, we managed to find a new home in Bishan! It's walking distance (~10minutes) to the interchange/ MRT. I can't wait to renovate the place!!
If you have reno ideas, recommendations on contractors or IDs, and, funky home deco pcitures, feel free to email them to me pls!! Much appreciated.
Ministry: The new young adults' service has started and the band is picking up! Thank God for committed and passionate musicians... these guys are cool! Their skills are great and the desire to make the best music for God inspires me. I am hoping to take up vocal lessons again.. but need to find teacher. If you know anyone, pls also let me know!!
Wow... I've written quite a bit. I shall stop ... need to get ready for airport soon. Am departing for Australia today!! Looking forward to a good holiday and meeting up with an ex-ministry member. We used to be the youngest things in the Dialect Ministry in Church for the elderly.
