Thank you to Blog Studio for all the help over years! :)
(Feb 2010 Update): Haloscan is no more. Therefore the comments on this blog are no more. Sad, but true. I'm not paying $12 a year for the occasional comment with Echo. Apologies to all those who have commented. I have saved them and may well stick them somewhere else at some point.

Wash DayOr "Wash Evening" to be more precise. I had some shirts which had, what you might call, some "earthy" collars! Okay - you could grow spuds in one them! Now, I went around the stores over the weekend looking for "deep stain remover". But all these fancy bottles that could remove yaks milk from Persian rugs and vampire bat venom from suede & leather, just didn't actually say they could clean grimy collars. BUT! There is was - a blast from the past a bar of Fairy Soap. And, combined with a plastic nail scrubbing brush - I set to work on several shirts this evening. It reminded me of living in lodgings when I first moved away from home to work many, many, (yes - many!), years ago. I had a small sink in my room in the house in Doncaster I was staying in, and I used to scrub my shirt collars on the edge of the sink with Fairy Soap then. Not a lot has changed..... apart from the collar size :)

New DesignAfter months of looking at the same drab looking pages, I decided to go with "Plan B" and put a new blog design in place. As you can see, it's a bt more brighter and prettier :) - in fact it reminds me of what in looked like here: Nov 2002. So, it took a few years for bright, colourful layouts to be accepted. And now they call it Web2.0 - remarkable! (I shall "fix" font size and things as I go along). It's been a busy old world "offline" - more of that later.

On Me HolsIt's Sunday - and the start of a week off from work. (I have three days left of the following week to work at my present job before I leave. I start work in the new job on Monday 26th Feb - hurrah!). This week will shall mainly be doing nothing :) Yesterday was fun - we went into London, (not like I do it every day or anything!), to the Rain Forest Cafe. Okay, it's a kids place - but as they never had "theme restaurants" when I were lad - we thought we'd do a bit of catching up now! I think the nearest thing to a "theme restaurant" when I was a kid was tablecloths in the local cafe that made it look a "bit posh"! :) Anyway, the Rain Forest was good fun..... noisy..... watery.... but the meal was good. Apart from sitting around not doing much, I shall also be attempting to expand my vast internet empire - and make oodles of money. Or at least that's the plan. But, like many things, it's extremely time consuming, so we'll see how it all works out. I didn't win the lottery last night, hence I was logging into Commission Junction to see what pittance I'd scraped off the sole of the world's shoe in the last 24 hours. As you might imagine, the increase in my vast internet wealth was not sufficient enough for me to be blogging to you now on my wi-fi laptop from the yacht bobbing around in the sultry calm, warm waters of a glorious sunny Caribbean island. No - it's still cold, and it's still Essex :( However, life is still fun - and now it's time for breakfast!
